An Ultimate Year: 2024 in Review

As we bid farewell to 2024 and begin a New Year full of new adventures and exciting golf, we wanted to take a stroll down memory lane and celebrate some of the highlights of this past year.

New Ways to Win

We're always looking for new ways to change the game, and 2024 was no exception. From creating new game features and Tournament formats, to revamping our existing fan favorites, 2024 saw all kinds of new challenges for our players. Here are just a few...

February: Country Club Team Scoring was introduced, allowing Country Clubs to compete against each other in a showdown that values teamwork, strategy, and collective effort over individual prowess.

April: Side Hustles added more excitement and rewards to Head-to-Head competition, as you complete checkpoints by winning matches!

June: The Weekend World Tour began, a weekly tournament series taking you around the world to every golf course in the order they were introduced into UG!

August: Scramble Tournaments were introduced, a new tournament format where players are challenged with teeing off from various locations instead of just the standard tee boxes!

September: Country Clubs 2.0 launched, which featured a deeper, more strategic season; updated division mechanics; and high-stakes Country Club Championship Tournaments that culminate in a thrilling final showdown.

New Courses to Conquer

Time and time again, Ultimate Golf players tell us the reason they play the game is that it's not just a place where they can play a quick game of golf - they get to experience it. All that begins with our golf courses, which include some of the most scenic links in the real world... plus a few creative venues to keep things interesting. Five new courses joined Ultimate Golf in 2024:

January: Pebble Beach Golf Links - Pebble Beach, CA, USA

March: Firestone Country Club - Akron, OH, USA

June: The Links at Spanish Bay - Pebble Beach, CA, USA

August: Spyglass Hill- Pebble Beach, CA, USA

October: Craig Ranch - McKinney, TX, USA

New Challenges to Face

VIP Challenges, one of Ultimate Golf's signature game modes, give you a chance to take on very special guests at any time, playing against their score for the chance to win some truly awesome—and often exclusive—rewards.

This year, we had some truly incredible VIPs, from professional golfers Ian Poulter and Sam Horsfield, to celebrity golfer Snappy Gilmore, and even our very own Dev team. You can check out all the VIP's interviews on our YouTube channel, and tee off against their scores any time in Ultimate Golf!

Play the Pro: Jack Nicklaus (x2!), Arnold Palmer, Bryson Dechambeau

Celebrities: Snappy Gilmore, Ian Poulter, Sam Horsfield

Developers: Hyp Dev Team

Players: Lema, Good Fellas CC, Duffy the Vampire Slayer, AJax, Incognito

Seasonal: The Bogey Man, Big Birdie, Frosty the Golf Pro

New Ways to Save

This year we launched the Ultimate Golf Web Store, giving you access to our greatest deals, deepest discounts, and special offers every single day! When you shop in the UG Web Store, you get 10% MORE with every bundle, plus perks like EXTRA Season balls when purchasing an Ultimate Pass, and occasional Web Store exclusive offers!

I think that the Country Club prizes are WAY TOO LOW, and it is bad that the "plus 40%" bonus only lasts 14 days (not the full 28 days of a CC season).

How about increasing the “Mystery Bag” $$ every 3 hours. Some people need more $$ to buy balls.
